BIO

MARK KRONEMEYER

ORIGINS

Born and raised in Mazatlan Mexico, since a young age Mark Kronemeyer was passionate about the ocean, its movement, and all marine life. The sea was his exceptional playground, his muse and sometimes his best ally; the never-ending horizon became his comfort zone.

By growing up in paradise he developed an interest in capturing the greatness of nature. The search for new subjects made him an incessant traveler, a wave explorer, and a story- teller. Photography has always been his best way of expression.

SURF FILMS

Kronemeyer began as an underwater cinematographer, documenting waves and his friends on surf trips. That led him to direct and shoot two of the most famous Mexican surf films: Rumors (2010) and Gone (2015).

Both films are cinematic journeys into the deepest Mexico ever seen on camera -the product of several years to find, surf and document the most perfect waves this coastline offers. Featuring local and international surfers.

TODAY

Kronemeyer is still capturing the beauty of the ocean, and celebrating its majesty by documenting sea life in Baja California Sur. Every single composition, angle, and exposure are not only signs of Mark’s unique eye and his creativity, but of his love for the ocean.

QUOTE

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart.
Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.
― Carl Jung
